Introduction

Hi. I'm a Slashdot reader and part of an organisation called PC-PHIX. We spend all day fixing other people's problems, so it's great to get together and remember what makes computing cool!

How long have you been a Slashdot reader?

Since 1999 - approximately 6 years now.

When posting what nickname (or UID) do you use?

PC-PHIX (UID 888080).

Which topic(s) do you most enjoy reading?

Anything really, but especially stories related to technology, security and robotics. I also look forward to things like Mozilla news, the latest from Google & good old Amiga stories. Plus the 'It's Funny. Laugh.' and Feature articles of course!

What other pages can you recommend to fans of Slashdot?

My favourites are: ThinkGeek (www.thinkgeek.com) Google (www.google.com) About.com (www.about.com) Also a friend of mine has a really decent site at cr0n.net And of course my own www.pcphix.com - shameless plug!

What is your geekiest quality?

How about 9 years of working in the computing industry? Several hours a day in front of the screen? I think I like implementation best... Taking a new concept and saying, "what can I do with this?". Plus I'm always pulling things apart...!

Additional Information

"I currently own and operate PC-PHIX Mobile Computing Service. I also run 3 Meetup Groups. I am always looking for new ideas, new tools and new opportunities. I also look forward to playing with anything technical!"

What Jonathan Young is saying about this Meetup Group

The Perth Slashdot Meetup is something to look forward to every month. Great to see the same people coming back each month, too. When there are only a few of us the conversation gets really interesting and when there are more people there the range of topics increases. There is something for every geek, techie and Slashdotter at these Meetups. Looking forward to many, many more!
